CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2027: Two-Examination System
CBSE has introduced a two-board-examination framework for Class 10. Students should appear in the first/main examination as required by the Board. The second examination is intended for eligible students under the Board’s improvement/compartment provisions. The timetable above covers the February–March main examination; students should wait for the separate official notice for the second examination, eligibility, subject limits and dates. Do not assume that the second-examination timetable is included here.

CBSE’s 5 November circular says practical examinations, projects and internal assessments for regular-session schools are scheduled from 1 January 2027; a separate circular will provide their detailed schedule. The 9 November–19 December window applies only to winter-bound schools. Students should confirm their individual subject dates with their school. CBSE Class 10 Marks Distribution 2026-27
CBSE also issued a subject-wise marks-bifurcation circular on 6 November 2026. For major Class 10 subjects such as Mathematics Standard/Basic, Science, Social Science, English and Hindi, the circular lists 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for internal assessment. The split differs for practical and skill subjects: Home Science is listed as 70 theory + 30 practical; Computer Applications as 50 theory + 50 practical; and Painting and the listed music subjects as 30 theory + 50 practical + 20 internal assessment. Other subjects have their own subject-code-specific distribution.
